For the first time in two weeks many people who were evacuated in the Lolo Peak fire began going home. The Missoula and Ravalli County Sheriff's offices with the Type 1 incident command team downgraded evacuation orders to evacuation warnings for residents who have spent as much as two weeks away from their homes. The fire has burned more than 35,000 acres, and grew about 500 acres since Friday. It is 26% contained.
