Police believe alcohol was involved in a rollover car crash Saturday night that knocked over a lamppost on the South Side. The crash occurred at around 8:20 p.m. A man driving a pickup truck east on First Avenue South lost control of his vehicle and hit a lamppost near South 21st Street, according to Sgt. Matthew Chaney of the Billings Police Department.
The Mineral County Sheriff's Office said it is investigating an early morning shooting on Saturday. A man was taken to the hospital and underwent surgery, and as of Saturday evening, was in intensive care.

The Bureau of Land Management states a fire that burned about 12 acres (5 hectares) of its land along the banks of the Clarks Fork of the Yellowstone River might have started after high winds downed a power line. The Billings Gazette reports that multiple agencies went to the fire Wednesday morning, which spread rapidly due to wind gusts of more than 50 mph (80 kph) in the area

The Polson Police Department responded to a house fire on the 300 block of 4th Avenue East in Polson at at around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29. The house fire is located near Linderman Elementary School.
State officials issued a missing endangered missing person alert Tuesday night for a Helena teen. Cody Lane James is a 16-year-old Native American boy. He is 5-foot-7, 145 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.

Laurel: A crash involving two semi-trailers has blocked the westbound lanes of Interstate 90 near Laurel. According to the Montana Department of Transportation, the crash was reported at about 4:30 a.m. at mile post 430. Both westbound lanes of the highway were blocked.
Missoula: man has been charged with aggravated assault, violating an order of protection and Partner or Family Member Assault. Brian Chamberlain, 38, is accused of threatening to stab his girlfriend in early October and then making similar threats and strangling her.
A woman is dead after being hit by a vehicle at the intersection of South Russell Street and McDonald Avenue in Missoula. Missoula Police Department Sergeant Jerry Odlin says officers responded to the incident just after 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The map of latest earthquakes pinpoints one southeast of Lincoln, and another almost in a straight-line north, along the border with Canada. The Polson Fire Department reports that nine dogs died after being caught in a weekend house fire on the 500 block of 10th Avenue. According to Polson Assistant Fire Chief Terry Gembala, the couple escaped the house safely and left a door open in hopes their pets would do the same.
