The Montana Highway Patrol says a 32-year-old Butte man died in a car wreck Friday night. MHP dispatchers tell NBC Montana it happened on Harrison Avenue in Butte at 10:23 p.m. They say a vehicle traveling northbound crashed into another vehicle leaving a parking lot. The driver of the second vehicle died. Three other people were transported to the hospital.
Helena authorities are looking for a missing man who may be endangered due to cold weather. Robert Scollard, 46, was last seen Thursday afternoon at the Helena prerelease center. He was wearing a gray shirt, blue pants, black coat and black shoes.
Law enforcement officers say they found 8 pounds of meth in a spare tire during a traffic stop in Stillwater County. The officers said the man driving the vehicle claimed he had been visiting Yogi Bear in Yellowstone National Park before being pulled over. The driver, 31-year-old Manuel Paz Sanchez Jr., was charged with possessing meth with intent to distribute.
Authorities have released the name of a man who was shot and killed by police in northern Montana. Stacy Micheletti, 51, was shot when he brandished a weapon during a confrontation in the city's east side Monday morning. Police were trying to speak with the man about an incident that occurred about an hour earlier.
Investigators have submitted their case to the Yellowstone County attorney to consider charges against the Billings man shot by police during an altercation at the Lazy KT Motel in October.
A man who brandished a weapon was shot and killed by Great Falls police officers on Monday morning, according to GFPD chief David Bowen. During a briefing on Monday afternoon, Bowen said that at about 10:30 a.m. officers were in the area of 10th Avenue North and 52nd Street looking for a man wanted for questioning related to an earlier incident.

Butte: Family members say the man who died after being struck by a vehicle in Montana was a former basketball and football coach at Butte High School. 76-year-old Dan Lean died from his injuries at a hospital in Missoula on Wednesday after he was hit earlier that morning in Butte.
A man who broke into Ra Ra's Pizzeria and Sandwiches through a take-out window early Sunday morning was caught on security cameras and the Yellowstone County Sheriff's Office is looking for information to help identify him. The restaurant, located at 4667 Highway 312, posted video of the break-in to its Facebook page Monday evening.

Deer Lodge: A 33-year-old Butte woman was killed in a rollover crash on Interstate 90 near Deer Lodge. The Montana Highway Patrol reports the woman was a passenger in a 1997 Chevrolet pickup truck when the 35-year-old man driving lost control of the vehicle at about 7:10 p.m. Monday while traveling west on the highway.
Staff members at a Montana casino say a man found decapitated had warned them of two men he feared might hurt him. Myron Wesley Knight, 41, allegedly told Lil's Casino staff in late October that if anything happened to him, Donald Cherry and Jeffrey Haverty would be involved.

Dillon: Woman is died in a one-vehicle crash just outside Dillon on I-15 late Saturday night. The Montana Highway Patrol reports the victim was a 24-year-old woman from Idaho Falls who was driving northbound when her vehicle drifted off the left side of the road. She then over-corrected and the vehicle rolled over several times.
Police believe alcohol was involved in a rollover car crash Saturday night that knocked over a lamppost on the South Side. The crash occurred at around 8:20 p.m. A man driving a pickup truck east on First Avenue South lost control of his vehicle and hit a lamppost near South 21st Street, according to Sgt. Matthew Chaney of the Billings Police Department.
The Mineral County Sheriff's Office said it is investigating an early morning shooting on Saturday. A man was taken to the hospital and underwent surgery, and as of Saturday evening, was in intensive care.

The Bureau of Land Management states a fire that burned about 12 acres (5 hectares) of its land along the banks of the Clarks Fork of the Yellowstone River might have started after high winds downed a power line. The Billings Gazette reports that multiple agencies went to the fire Wednesday morning, which spread rapidly due to wind gusts of more than 50 mph (80 kph) in the area

Laurel: A crash involving two semi-trailers has blocked the westbound lanes of Interstate 90 near Laurel. According to the Montana Department of Transportation, the crash was reported at about 4:30 a.m. at mile post 430. Both westbound lanes of the highway were blocked.
Missoula: man has been charged with aggravated assault, violating an order of protection and Partner or Family Member Assault. Brian Chamberlain, 38, is accused of threatening to stab his girlfriend in early October and then making similar threats and strangling her.

Authorities have identified the man who was killed by police this past weekend in Billings. 24-year-old Preston David Bell was fatally shot on Saturday. Deputy Coroner Cliff Mahoney says results from a Monday autopsy are expected to be available in a week or two.
