A Montana teen has pleaded not guilty to bringing a gun to school while a former teacher denied charges she hid it in his classroom. Prosecutors say the 17-year-old student used the gun in an attempt to take another student's lunch money at Hardin High School on Jan. 26. School officials said they removed him from school but could not locate a gun.

The body of a missing Polson man was found Tuesday afternoon. Kyle Butterhof, 26, was reported missing by his family Friday afternoon. Kyle's mother told MTN News on Tuesday that his body was found at the bottom of the SKQ Dam near Polson.

Travis John Iverson was scheduled to appear in Yellowstone County Justice Court on Thursday. He faces two counts of criminal endangerment, a felony, and four misdemeanors: theft first offense, obstructing a peace officer, driving while the privilege to do so has been suspended or revoked and operating a motor vehicle without liability protection in effect.
A Great Falls man has been sentenced to five years with the Department of Corrections for negligent homicide in the March 2016 death of his wife. A 26-year-old Bozeman man was arrested by Gallatin County deputies on Sunday for kidnapping. Police say his girlfriend escaped the vehicle they were in by jumping out of it. In charging documents, police said Bozeman resident Garrett Grahl threatened to kill his girlfriend multiple times on Sunday. Police said the victim picked up Grahl, her boyfriend, from work in Big Sky. They started driving north on Gallatin Road.

Four people were arrested in an ongoing series of drug raids in Polson. The Polson Police Department and the Flathead Tribal Police Department executed two search warrants. Polson Police Sergeant George Simpson says this is part of an ongoing effort to rescue drug endangered children, to target suspected drug dealers and users, and the houses they operate out of.
A Billings man was in jail Sunday for allegedly raping a teenage girl behind Hobby Lobby during her lunch break. Dylan Patrick Curtin, 20, is charged in Yellowstone County Justice Court with one count of sexual intercourse without consent.

Authorities report that a Great Falls man died in a snowmobile crash on Friday. Lewis & Clark County Coroner Bryan Backeberg has identified the man as Lee Schuler, 40. The accident happened near the intersection of Beaver Creek Road and Stonewall Creek Road north of Lincoln.

A 20-year-old man arrested in East Helena is suspected of stabbing another man in Bozeman. Judge Michael Swingley set Jonathan Meyer’s bond at half a million dollars at a Thursday Justice Court Appearance. According to Gallatin County charging documents, Bozeman Police responded to a stabbing at an apartment on the 3300 block of Warbler Way just after 10:30 p.m. on January 19. When officers arrived they found the victim had been stabbed multiple times in the area around his heart.
A man was arrested Thursday night after leading law enforcement on a high-speed car chase through Billings' Heights and crashing into a fence along Lake Elmo. The chase began earlier in the evening when Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Darvin Mees tried to pull over a pickup for not stopping at a stoplight in the Heights.

A Circle man is dead after he was ejected from his pickup in a crash Sunday morning. Montana Highway Patrol dispatch reported the 22-year-old man was southbound on Weldon Road and secondary Highway 252 northwest of Circle when he failed to negotiate a curve.
A driver's 1994 Honda Accord was stolen at gunpoint Friday night and the two suspects involved remained at large early Saturday evening. The carjacking occurred shortly before midnight at 11th Avenue South and South 29th Street, according to a press release from Billings Police Department Lt. Shawn Mayo.
