Missoula Fire crews knocked down an apartment fire Sunday afternoon. Sergeant Gordon Schmill with the Missoula Sheriff's Department told NBC Montana no one was inside the apartment at the time and no one was injured, but 2 cats and an iguana died
A person who threatens a school may be charged with intimidation or assault, according to school resource officer Clint Anderson. Anderson has worked with the Bozeman Police Department for the last 10 years. He told NBC Montana felony intimidation carries a maximum of 10 years in jail and up to a $50,000 fine or both.

Authorities say a man was killed when he backed his car off a steep cliff on a dirt mountain road in western Montana. The 32-year-old Lolo man, whose name has not been released, backed off of the Forest Service road near Clinton east of Missoula early Wednesday morning. A 44-year-old East Helena man who was a passenger was hospitalized.
The Pondera County sheriff issued mandatory evacuation orders to residents near the Swift Reservoir in northern Montana due to increased activity on the Strawberry Fire Monday night. Four or five ranch owners and the dam keeper's residence are said to be under evacuation order. There are also pre-evacuation warnings in place for homes along Swift Dam Road toward Dupuyer.
Kalispell: Flathead County Sheriff's Office on Monday released the names of two women, who were killed in a two-car head-on crash on Highway 2 over the weekend. The crash occurred Sunday at about 11:50 a.m. Just north of Glacier International Airport.
